E-mail sent to qualifiers

If you didn’t get this and you qualified, it’s because I don’t have your e-mail.

Congratulations 2007 PBR Philadelphia RPS City League Championship Qualifier!

Dear Philadelphia RPS Professional:

Congratulations on the completion of a season well played (most of you).  This Saturday will be the 2007 Pabst Blue Ribbon Philadelphia Rock Paper Scissors City League Championship.  By virtue of your strong play throughout the season, you are invited to compete for the title and $1000 grand prize.  Please reply to urbanus(at)rpscityleague(dot)com indicating if you plan to accept this invitation.

Details are as follows:

The Championship will be at Whiskey Dix Saloon on N. 7th between Callowhill and Spring Garden.

Registration will begin at 6 PM.  PBRPRPSCLCS officials will be on-site as early as 5 PM.  Registration closes at 7 and competition for the title will begin at approximately 7:15.

The top 63 players in addition to 2006 Champion Johnny Goodtimes are invited.  Alternates will also be invited in the event there are spots vacated by qualifiers who can not attend.  You must have competed at least 3 times on the season to be eligible as an alternate.  In the event there are byes in the first round, they will be awarded based on season point totals.  Players with better “Power Rankings” (i.e. same points in fewer events) are seeded above those with the same amount of points.

The grand prize is $1000.  The runner-up will take home $250.  There will also be a street RPS prize of $100.

Those who qualify are charged no entry fee.  Spectator tickets will cost $5, but they will also be eligible to compete for the Street RPS prize.  Street RPS will function the same as it does during in-season events.

There will be celebrity Refs on hand including #2 ranked player in the world (Just one spot ahead of Philadelphia’s Vertical Paper) the Saint.

City League T-shirts and pint glasses will be available as well as the Official Rock Paper Scissors Strategy Guide.

Thanks to you all for a memorable season, and I look forward to seeing you Saturday and the crowning of the 2007 City League Champion.
