George takes it in March!
Crowd favorite George came away with a thrilling victory in March at the Dive. He defeated crowd least favorite Bob Byrne 3 sets to 2 in a thrilling come from behind victory that left all who witnessed it inspired to step up their game for the upcoming 2007 PBRPRPSCLCS season.
George said that while having the crowd behind him was rewarding, perhaps it had more to do with Bob Byrne’s impression of former crowd least favorite The Pacifist than anything else. Said George “…but whatever. I’m the Champ. At least until the next time I play, which probably won’t be at the April event here at the Dive”.
Word on the street is that Bob Byrne and his team may be running a RPS tournament around Temple sometime. If this is true, somebody please alert the PBRPRPSCLCS. If there’s money on the line, Urbanus is pretty sure he’ll win it.
Speaking of the street, Mr. Strawberry (below) won the street game which is no surprise. Said Strawberry: “Been there, done that”.
