Le Tigre Leads the Way as Paper Cuts Dominate at Dirty Franks!
Le Tigre, team captain of the Paper Cut Posse (above minus several members), got the first in-season victory of his career by taking down reigning City League Champion Baconshark of team David Bowie’s Package in the finals at Dirty Franks in a match that all came down to one final throw in the 5th set (Scissors cutting Paper for the win – very exciting!). This was the 3rd win in 5 tries for the PCP at Frank’s in 2008 where they are dominating in a way that the house team the Dirty Dozen can’t help but be jealous of. As far as the Package goes, it was the 3rd loss in the Championship match for them in the past 2 weeks.
Fist of Iron, also of the PCP, took the Street Prize on the night at DF’s for the 2nd time this season. Despite the win, he was still stunned by the strange turn of events that saw 7 of his teammates qualify for the 2nd round only to watch all but Le Tigre fail to qualify for round 3. Said Fist of Iron about his team’s failures in round 2: “Huh, that was weird, right?”
