The Fighting Mongooses Defeats Pete the Beat at Dirty Franks for America!
New American citizen the Fighting Mongooses (also longstanding citizen of the majestic 12 – above, bearded) won the battle of Calendar Club Employees from the Christmas season 2006-2007 as he came from behind to defeat Pete the Beat in a last throw thriller in the 5th set. Pete the Beat, who you may know from the Extraordinaires, the Company Corvette and possibly PBRPRPSCLCS sponsor Mambo Movers had taken a 2 match to 0 lead quickly in the Championship round, but the Fighting Mongooses clawed his way back for the first in-season victory of his career. The Fighting Mongooses was very pleased that this victory pushed him above all the members of Team David Bowie’s Package in the standings with 2 events left in the 2008 season and vowed to “keep it rolling. Click, click”. The Fighting Mongooses is now known throughout the PBRPRSCLCS community for strong play, his growing dislike of the Package, and his strange fascination with horse-opoly.
Billy Shearz (above, with no-sleeve shirt as usual) of the MJ-12 made it a clean sweep for that team at Frank’s for the 2nd time this season. He won the Street prize on the night with a score of 137, which moves him closer to the top spot on the season. He currently trails El Toro Papya 358-342. PJ Rhymeswithsausage also broke into the 300 club last night and is currently in 3rd with 302.
