Hand Turkey Gobbles Up a Win at Dirty Franks!
Hand Turkey (above, still working) finally made it past the final four this week (his main stumbling point this season), and met up with Sturgeon General in the finals. It was an instant classic, as Hand Turkey almost had it, let it slip away, almost had it again, then almost lost it until he finally won it. It did come down to a last throw in the 5th set that had everyone at Dirty Franks on the edge of their seats - until Hand Turkey delivered the winning throw of paper and the crowd went wild. Also of note: the Turkey Gobble was used by many in the crowd to show support throughout the night for the Champ, and is possibly the best crowd participation mechanism since the now retired “Hoagie Chant”.
The Fighting Mongooses of the Majestic 12 won his 2nd Street RPS title in the last couple of weeks, even though he left far before the final call was made (mostly because the MJ-12 had their worst collective night of the season). Since he was gone that picture up there is the same one from last Monday. He collected $86 and the next closest competitor was at $58. Team David Bowie’s Package in particular thought he did real well.
