I Will Represent You at the World Championships if you Pay Me.
The World Rock Paper Scissors Society has made a curious decision to allow a proxy to deliver throws on behalf of remote player this year at the 2009 Yahoo! Rock Paper Scissors World Championships. The Society has long fought this idea (I tried to convince them to allow me to do this on Custardchuk’s behalf in 2002 – 2003) and the reversal in policy is a bit stunning.
But – for you local players who want to play for a World Chamionship but can’t make it to Toronto this is great news. I am willing to act as your proxy. Please e-mail your bid to urbanus (at) rpscityleague (dot) com. I will accept the offer of the highest bidder and act as their proxy. This is conditional upon my “double entrant” application being accepted by the World RPS Society. In addition to the winning bid, you will also be required to pay $25 in entry fee, reimburse my cell phone usage (it’s roaming up there) for any calls I make to you, as well as a $12.95 administration fee.
If I receive a bid that is higher than the one you have submitted, I will alert you that you have been outbid. This may possibly be transferred over to an eBay auction at some point. If that is the case I will alert any prior bidders to this fact.
Bid high – gas to Toronto isn’t cheap.
