Loomer Files Retirement Paperwork! Philadelphia Players Excited by the Newfound Possibility of Now Maybe Being Able to Win Tournaments in 2010!
The PBRPRPSCLCS is sad to announce that Loomer has shipped off to Japan to follow his dream of teaching Rock Paper Scissors to children there (I’m pretty sure that’s what he’s doing – the retirement paperwork isn’t all that thorough). Thus leaves (at least for a year) one of the greatest RPS players to ever drink Pabst Blue Ribbon here in Philadelphia. A brief overview of Loomer’s accomplishments in two years of competitive play:
A regular season career record of 69-36 (65.7%)
9 individual tournament victories
Total Points and Rookie of the Year winner in 2008
Final Four finisher at 2008 PBRPRPSCLCS Championship
One World Championship appearance
Total Points runner-up in 2009
Accounted for 28% of the Majestic 12’s league-leading team points 2008-2009
The PBRPRPSCLCS wishes Loomer the best of strategy in his new location and admits that while the players in town may be relieved, it will be a bit strange to watch the 2010 City League season unfold without Master Loomer in the fray.
Note to players: Don’t get too excited. Billy Shears is still in town.

Since B-Pac has moved to the RPS-challenged hills of Eastern upstate NY, RPS Speedwagon is now B-Pac Presents RPS Speedwagon (a better acronym anyway). Also, the Blackout Motherf*ckers have been recruiting like, well, motherf*ckers. They had almost 1/4 of the competitor field representing their team. They even picked up some coveted free agent players, including Frankie 13 and 2011 Rookie of the Year Dr. Dre. Oh, and Loomer is back from Japan. [...]
