Frankie 13 Victorious In All Monsters of Rock Finals at the Raven Lounge!
Frankie 13 (at right, on right) made it to the finals for the first time all season and met up with a familiar face – his Monsters of Rock teammate Smashley (at right, on left). Frankie 13 looked like he had in the bag when he went up 2 matches to 0, but Smashley fought back to win the next two. Then it came down to a deciding fifth set and Frankie 13 won it with his Rock smashing Smashley’s Scissors on a throw that Smashley unwisely deviated from her original throw selection of Paper. It was an exciting finals and perhaps underappreciated by the crowd that remained on hand at the end. Frankie 13 attributed his victory in part to the sweet and smooth taste of Pabst Blue Ribbon, which he lovingly referred to as “victory juice”.
Hey look! There’s Sir Faust again! He won the Street RPS tournament for the 2nd night in a row, and that helped put him in the lead for total points again (in addition to making it to the final 4 on the evening). He really killed it as he turned in 124 and the next closest competitor had 14. It looked like B-Pac was uncatchable as of last week, but a couple good nights can do wonders for a player’s street total. Sir Faust now trails B-Pac by only(?) about $140 for the year.
