Panty Bandit Raids the Raven Lounge!
It was a sweet victory for the Badass Motherf*ckers at the Raven Lounge last night. One of their newest members, Panty Bandit took home their first win of the 2010 season (the two oldest teams in the league, David Bowie’s Package and Majestic 12, are the only teams yet to score a tournament win this year). And it’s a pretty good time to squeeze in a win as the season ends in only a week. Panty Bandit bounced Silly Putty in the finals and it wasn’t even close. Panty Bandit easily won the first two matches, celebrated a victory prematurely, was reminded that the champ has to win three matches, then went back and took care if that rather easily and then celebrated again. Panty Bandit then announced to the press on-hand that she most certainly will put in the time in the next week to qualify for the 2010 PBRPRPSCLCS Championship.
To make the victory even sweeter for the Badass Mo-Fos, Sweetji won the Street RPS tournament to make it a clean sweep for them on the night. The recently-released-from-the-hospital-and-still-on-crutches Sweetji won it over 2008 City League Champ Mr. Is by a score of 86-83. Mr. Is refused to play for it.
In another City League first, there are currently two players on crutches competing. That’s never happened before so good job, people!
